Shiva Eye Privacy Policy
Welcome to Shiva Eye.
This Privacy Policy explains what information may be stored or collected when you use the app,
how we use it, and the principles that guide us in protecting user privacy.
A core principle of the app is privacy first.
Shiva Eye is designed to be a personal and inner space,
so we aim to keep the user's personal, emotional, and deeper content
on the user's own device whenever possible, rather than collecting it as app developers.
1. Information stored on the user's device
The app may store information locally on the user's device as needed to operate the app
and create a personalized experience.
This may include, among other things:
- the name or nickname chosen by the user
- a local access passcode
- an optional email address, if the user chooses to provide one
- language preferences
- Hebrew addressing preferences
- answers to questions
- personal texts
- personal visualizations
- saved inspirations
- images generated or saved in the app
- an avatar image, if the user chooses to upload or save one
- reminder settings
- voice preferences
- activity or daily-use markers
Whenever possible, this personal and inner information is stored on the user's device
and is intended for the user's personal use only.
If the user deletes the app from the device, locally stored information may be deleted and may not be recoverable, unless a backup or external account system is connected in the future.
2. Optional email address
The user may choose whether to provide an email address.
Providing an email address is optional at this stage.
If the user chooses to provide an email address, it may be used for future access recovery,
support, account-related communication, and important updates related to the app or account.
At this stage, the email address is stored locally in the app, unless an account system, server, Firebase, Sign in with Apple, or another external service is connected in the future. If such a system is connected in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
3. Basic or "dry" information we may collect
If we collect information as developers, we aim to collect only the minimum information needed to operate the service, provide support, manage accounts, run beta testing, manage subscriptions, or improve the app.
Such information may include:
- an email address, if the user provides one
- a name or nickname
- registration status
- subscription or purchase status
- registration date
- support requests
- feedback the user chooses to send voluntarily
- basic technical information needed for operation, troubleshooting, or improving app stability
We do not intend to collect the user's deeper inner content for our own use as developers,
unless the user explicitly chooses to send feedback or share specific content with us.
4. Use of artificial intelligence and OpenAI
The app uses or may use artificial intelligence services, including OpenAI, to generate questions, responses, visualizations, personalized texts, images, or other personal content.
When the user uses AI-based features, some texts, answers, or context entered by the user may be sent to external AI providers, such as OpenAI, for processing and generating personalized content.
We aim to send only the information necessary to operate the relevant feature, and no more.
AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for every person. Use of such content is also subject to the app's Terms of Use.
5. Images, avatar, and voice
The app may allow the user to choose an image, save an avatar image, generate an image, or use built-in iOS voice features.
When features operate locally, the information is stored or processed on the user's device.
If external services are used in the future for avatar creation, voice, video, image hosting, or other processing, relevant information may be sent to those services in order to operate the feature. In that case, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
6. Feedback the user chooses to send
If the user chooses to send us feedback, a message, a support request, or specific content, we may use the submitted information to respond, improve the app, fix issues, develop new features, or conduct internal learning.
We will aim to use feedback in a limited and respectful way, without publishing personally identifying information without consent.
7. Sale of personal information
We do not sell users' personal information.
We do not use the user's personal information for the purpose of selling it to third parties.
8. Marketing and updates
If the user chooses to provide an email address, we may use it for important account-related updates, support, access recovery, or important information about the app.
Marketing communication, if introduced in the future, will be handled according to applicable law and will include a way to opt out where required.
9. Data security
We aim to take reasonable steps to protect information, minimize data collection, and safeguard user privacy.
However, no digital system can guarantee complete security. Use of the app involves natural risks associated with technology, the internet, and third-party services.
10. Deleting information
Information stored locally on the device may be deleted by deleting the app from the device.
In the future, we may add a dedicated button for deleting local data from within the app.
If information is stored in external servers or account systems in the future, we will add a way to request deletion or correction of such information in accordance with applicable law.
11. Age of users
The app is intended for users aged 18 and older, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
We do not intend to knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Updates to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including due to changes in app features, use of new services, legal changes, or App Store requirements.
Continued use of the app after an update will be considered acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy, where permitted by law.
